How to lower the acidity level of your tomatoes
If you prefer a sweeter tasting tomato you first have to lower the acidity level. To do that simply sprinkle baking soda around the plants and work it into the soil.
My interest in tools, repairing, maintaining cars and all manner of items found around a typical midwest home started as a child helping my dad. Dad was a depression era adult and out of necessity had to learn how to fix things that were broken, make needed improvements and what tools to use and how to use them.
This knowledge has been passed on to me and over the years I have expanded it to include other areas such as lawn care, landscaping, wood working and refinishing, interior painting, wood deck and fence restoration and preservation, concrete cleaning and sealing.
I like growing the yellow tomatoes which are less acidic (lemon boys, lemon girls, and the little yellow pears).
